THE NEED TO KNOW
-
HELD is a six-week, 1:1 movement-based nervous system wellness program.
The focus is on regulation, emotional release, embodiment, and real human connection.
Through gentle, guided practices and attuned support, this work helps your nervous system soften and restore capacity, at a pace that feels manageable and kind.
-
HELD is designed for people who are carrying a lot — emotionally, mentally, or quietly in the body — and who are seeking care that feels personal, respectful, and deeply human.
This work is especially supportive for:
Artists, creatives, and cultural workers
Leaders and professionals holding sustained responsibility
Individuals navigating stress, transition, or burnout
Those seeking nervous system regulation without needing to explain or analyse their experience
HELD may be a good fit if you:
Feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or internally full
Are drawn to gentle, embodied nervous system support
Value intimacy, slowness, and depth
Are open to movement as a pathway to regulation and release
Want to feel more present, grounded, and connected in daily life
To protect the quality and care of this work, each cycle is limited to 8 private clients.
Who HELD May Not Be For
HELD may not be the right fit if you are:
Looking for intensive emotional processing or cathartic release
Seeking clinical therapy or treatment
Wanting high-energy fitness or performance-based movement
-
Your reset journey begins first week of February 2026 and unfolds over six weeks, offering time for settling, integration, and steady support rather than rush or intensity.
Please click and fill out the “Reflection Form” to inform Kumari which day of the week works best for you and what you want to focus on.

This work is guided with care, consent, and choice.
You’ll be offered gentle movement and nervous system–informed practices that can be adapted to your needs at the moment. Nothing is forced. You’re welcome to move, pause, rest, or simply witness. All of it is part of the work.
The facilitation is deeply one-on-one in quality, attuned to each person’s unique nervous system and capacity.
-
So many of us are living in a state of ongoing activation.
The pace of the world, constant input, and collective uncertainty can leave the nervous system overloaded even when things look “fine” on the outside.
Over time, this can affect how safe, present, and connected we feel.
HELD offers a different rhythm.
This is a space to slow down, be met with individual care, and support your nervous system in finding more ease and steadiness — not as a luxury, but as a necessity in a world that asks a lot.
-
Early Commitment Option
For those who feel ready to step in, you can secure your place in HELD early and access the full 6-week program at £1,200 (full value £3,000) by placing a deposit.
This option is about intentionally claiming a space built for depth, care, and one-on-one attention — not about pressure or urgency. It’s a way to make the experience accessible to those who already feel a clear yes.
Full program cost: £3,000
This reflects the personalized guidance, intentional pacing, and high-touch care each participant receives across six weeks. -
HELD is a private, one-on-one experience not a large-scale course or content library.
Your investment supports:
A practice rooted in lived experience and years of global, community-based work
Carefully paced sessions focused on regulation, grounding, and integration
Individual attention that prioritizes safety, presence, and genuine connection
When the world feels loud and your body tired, HELD offers a space to slow down, soften, and be held without pressure or performance.
Your commitment also directly sustains a Black, Indigenous, POC queer leader, whose work is shaped by cultural labor, lived experience, and long-term community care. By participating, you are supporting the healer as they offer the medicine, ensuring this work continues with integrity and reciprocity.
-
HELD is rooted in care, consent, and respect for lived experience.
This work honors nervous system diversity, cultural lineage, and the wisdom of the body. It is shaped by over two decades of community-based practice, relationship, and accountability — not trends or extraction.
At its core, HELD is guided by values of reciprocity, integrity, and presence. The space is held with attention to power, difference, and choice, so that each participant can arrive as they are and be met with dignity.
-
Care looks different for each body and nervous system.
Practices within HELD are adaptable and invitational, with space to move, rest, pause, or simply observe. You are encouraged to listen to your capacity and engage in ways that feel supportive rather than overwhelming.
While this offering cannot meet every access need, care is taken to communicate clearly, honor boundaries, and remain responsive where possible. If you have access needs or questions, you’re welcome to share them through the reflection form so we can explore what support might be available.
Meet Your HELD Facilitator
Kumari Suraj
Kumari Suraj is a movement practitioner and facilitator whose approach to nervous system regulation is shaped by lived experience, cultural stewardship, and decades of embodied practice. Their work centres care that is grounded, choice-led, and deeply respectful of each person’s pace and capacity.
Kumari’s understanding of regulation and resilience has been informed not only by their professional work across the world, but by navigating complex personal terrain — including displacement as a queer and non-binary person, the realities of migration, the unlearning of over-functioning shaped by systemic pressure, and the ongoing practice of living well with ADHD. These experiences are not treated as stories to be processed, but as sources of discernment: ways of learning how to listen to the body, honour limits, and rebuild trust from the inside out.
Rather than focusing on healing narratives or emotional excavation, Kumari’s facilitation emphasises agency, steadiness, and self-relationship. Participants are never asked to share personal histories, explain their experiences, or move beyond what feels supportive. Movement is offered as a tool for regulation, release, and reconnection — not performance or catharsis.
HELD brings together years of global teaching, community care, and somatic practice into a container designed for people carrying a lot — artists, leaders, and high-capacity individuals seeking sustainable ways to meet stress without burning out. Kumari holds this work with clarity, warmth, and respect, creating space for participants to soften, stabilise, and leave with tools they can return to in their own lives.
Reviews
“Before working together I was experiencing a lifetime of being blocked from my sexual power and feminine flow. I had lots of shame and fear around being seen vulnerably in my movement and staying present enough to bring fourth the attitude required to SERVE. Little did I know there was so much I was yet to be exposed to in myself which was the truth of who I was.
I truly have never been the same since working with Kumari. I opened up in ways that I never had before and allowed myself to be seen vulnerably, in my physical movement, in ways that I never had before. Exploring my body in that way, definitely created much more confidence and support in my physical expression as a human being. It changed my life!”
Kumari is kind, compassionate, caring, competent, educated and a lot of fun! I would tell new clients that Kumari is a safe place to grow and expand.

"Kumari's insight and intuitive offerings helped anchor me in an identity I was familiar with but still figuring out. Embodiment through movement practices, ancestral connectivity through storytelling and elder presence as well as fostering a deeper power of creative force through fellowship. All of this and more were integral parts of me holding space for my own growth while being HELD in genuine care. Highly recommend!"
